3-1-10: UF received my official application via fax at 2:00pm today. They PROMPTLY called me to notify me that my resume, disciplinary documentation from undergrad and disciplinary explanation have not yet been received. Very nice of them, other schools may not do that. Though I KNOW I sent them my disciplinary documentation from undergrad, I sent it again.
UF also required a statement from me re: my disciplinary incident. I gave them essentially no new information from the official documentation. It was recommended to me that I be careful and not expound too much, but give only the minimum information necessary (as opposed to some narrative about how/why/when/with whom I was caught drinking in the dorms). Do you have an opinion on this at all? Another personal experience?
UF is my #1, I would go there in a heartbeat. Anyone care to comment on my chances?
2-28-10: UF received my official application via mail from LSAC got my letters of recommendation, etc. Now I need to tighten my personal statement and send it by 3/1 to make the priority deadline.
1-26-10: I just checked on LSDAS, and they calculated my gpa as a 3.77! I KNEW that Comp 1 class I took in high school would pay off :) Holla, that makes my profile a little better, if I do say.
Also, the more I read over my diversity statement, the happier I am with my work :)
1-15-10: I barely got my application in to UF. But I did it :) And I am very happy with my diversity statement - that's what took so long.
The application fee process at UF threw me for a loop - but all is good! I am very happy to have my first application sealed and sent :)
Will be working on the supplemental materials over the next 4 weeks, to make sure they're all received at UF by March 1. Anyone care to suggest my chances of getting in to UF based on my numbers alone?
