I think that it can vary. My scholarship papers seem to be basing my amount on last years tuition costs, so I am assuming that if tuition increases over the 3 years, and performance merits a continuation of the scholarship that it will be adjusted accordingly to cover the costs. I am not sure though. I was planning on asking the financial aid advisor when I meet with them. So are you definitely going to Elon, or waiting on some other decisions first? Either way, congratulations!! :)
Elon wasn't my #1 choice but now that is probably where I will be going because the stipulations don't seem too bad compared to other schools. How about you?
It was not my first choice either, but considering the amount of money involved, and my restriction to having to stay in the general area, I think I will likely be going to Elon. Wake was my first choice, but they are taking forever to make a decision, and even if I am accepted, it is unlikely that the funds they give me will be able to compete with Elon's scholarship offer.
I called their admissions office and they said that the scholarship will match tuition for 2012-2013, but for the second and third year you have to pay the increase in tuition. she said they average 1,000-1,500 a year increase
Congratulations on Wake!
I just received the Presidential Scholarship as well, do you know if it covers tuition for all 3 years if tuition increases? or is it for the flat rate all 3 years
