12/9 Rejected by Georgetown. I'm not surprised as it was one of my super-reaches. Did get a nice invitation to apply to American.

12/17 Phone call from dean at RWU. Full ride. And they have an excellent Marine Affairs program.

12/20 In at U. Maryland!!!

1/12 Rejected from B.C. but attended a reception hosted by RWU Law and really enjoyed meeting various deans, alums, and current students. Full scholarship and the Marine Affairs program are making this a very attractive option.

1/13 Submitted application for Gates Scholarship at UW.

1/16 Gates Scholarship complete. Fingers crossed I get into UW at all.

1/17 In at American PT! If, come April, I can't bear to leave my job (salary) behind, this will be an excellent option.

1/26 Waitlisted at UC Hastings. I can't decide if I'm excited not to have been rejected or bummed to not have been admitted. I will likely send a LOCI bc I have family in the Bay area and will still try and visit.

1/28 In at Lewis & Clark!! via phone call.

1/29 Rejected at Boalt via status checker but I got home from a work trip to find my package from L&C. Partial scholarship!

2/2 Received rejection letter from Boalt but what a nice letter! I assume they invite all rejectees to apply for a transfer after 1L but what a nice feel-good gesture.

2/9 Rejected at BU. A bit disappointed as I am a mother/daughter legacy but my numbers are low and it's a competitive year.

2/17 Rejected at Duke. I'm not surprised nor upset. The only reason why I would have gone was for my now ex-sig.other. Fingers strongly crossed for U.Washington or GW partime - my remaining game changers.

2/23 Waitlisted at GW! I'm in shock...

with your stats, there's no reason why you should go to roger williams even if they gave you big money. it seems almost all of your other schools are reaches, though. are you planning to apply to any schools where you fit comfortably in the medians?

That's great about U.Miami having a great Marine Affairs program. I actually have a good friend from my master's program working on a phd there. Unfortunately, I'm a fair skinned redhead and the sun and I just don't get along :(
