^Wrote a GPA addendum explaining my GPA (was 3.83 going into senior year, but had personal complications my final year that lowered it to a 3.69)
^Wrote a diversity statement regarding my family background and how I'm the first in my family to attend college
^Letters of rec were probably a 7 or 8 out of 10: one from an English professor that I took two classes with, one from an English professor/Dean who taught a VERY difficult course that I did well in, and one from the lawyers I interned with

10/19 --- Applied to all of my schools except Cornell (still working on my Why Cornell essay)
10/20 --- Most schools have received my application/say it's completed
10/24 --- UPenn and Michigan still say my application completion is pending; Northwestern hasn't even sent me an email stating they received my application
10/25 --- UPenn complete
10/28 --- Michigan complete; still no word from Northwestern
10/31 --- Submitted to Cornell
11/02 --- Cornell complete
11/03 --- Submitted Northwestern online interview request; scheduled Vanderbilt interview for 11/06
11/05 --- Still haven't received an email from Northwestern, but I was able to receive my login credentials to their status checker, which shows that my application was received; changed complete date to the day I requested an interview
11/06 --- Had Vanderbilt alum interview
11/10 --- Realized Washington&Lee was free to apply to, so I submitted an app
11/13 --- Washington&Lee app complete
11/19 --- Completed the online interview for Northwestern; I was extremely nervous, more so than I would have been had it been an in-person interview, but I think my answers were truthful and well-reasoned and hopefully the admissions committee can look past my subtle awkwardness :P
12/08 --- Accepted to Washington&Lee with $40,000 a year; decision came at approximately 3:30PM Central time
12/11 --- Accepted to Iowa; scholarship information to follow in the coming weeks; email came at approximately 12:00PM Central time
12/20 --- Received scholarship information for Iowa at approximately 12:00PM Central time; scholarship for $92,000 total, to be split $44,000 for the first year and $24,000 for each of the next two years; scholarship information also states that I'd be eligible for a assistantship during my second and third year that would waive out of state tuition and provide a living stipend
12/20 --- Received my waitlist decision from Georgetown at approximately 2:30PM Central time
12/21 --- Received my waitlist email from Boston College at approximately 3:30PM Central time
01/02 --- Received my rejection email from Cornell at approximately 10:30PM Central time
01/03 --- Received my waitlist email from Vanderbilt at approximately 3:00PM Central time
01/08 --- Received my waitlist email from Boston University at approximately 3:30PM
01/15 --- Received rejection from Michigan via status checker
