Additional info & updates

1/14/2013 Wooh! First acceptance! Really fast decsion making --> 2-3 weeks! Vermont is a safety, but remains a contender for its specialty in Environmental Law. An offer of 25K renewable each year condition upon maintaining a 2.5 GPA (somewhere in the bottom third of the class).

1/24/2013 Rejected from GMU. I was kind of hopeful of getting in, but on further thought I don't think the school would be a good fit for me. It doesn't have the program or classes I would be interested in trying if I wanted to get into Environmental Law.

1/30/2013 An acceptance from Catholic is nice to hear since I would like to stay in the DC area. Ideally, I would want to work within the federal government on regulatory law focused on the environment. 10K scholarship renewable each year condition upon maintaining a 2.25.

2/07/2013 First waitlist from UMD. In fact, I am surprised I even got waitlisted here since UMD ranks the same as GMU. However, it does have a strong environmental law program and the reason why I chose to apply there. Fingers crossed I get off the waitlist. I think UMD would be a good experience.

2/15/2013 An acceptance from Lewis and Clark. I am having second thoughts about going to law school so far from DC since ideally one should choose a law school in a state where they would practice law. Kind of leaning towards declining their kind offer to study law in Portland, OR.

2/19/2013 Waitlisted at American. Already been told a horror story about American's financial aid office from a friend who knows someone there. And a friend of a friend who is there now seems to not be completely thrilled by the choice. I think I would rather hope that UMD lets me in off the waitlist.

2/25/2013 A second rejection from Boston College. Seriously was not thinking I would get into there. Most of the schools remaining are total reach schools on my part. And in all honesty, Boston is expensive and has too much competition with so many law schools in that one city.
