FINAL DECISION- I ended up at a top 10 law school after being on their wait list. Got a little bit of money too. What a crazy cycle with so many schools being over enrolled and very little wait list action! Should you know where you want to go, apply early decision!!! In general apply EARLY!!
Good luck to those beginning the process- you will be on this end before you know it!
-------------
meaningful extracurriculars and unique work experience
hope they really do care about more than numbers!
i applied to a lot of schools due to my concerns about this year's increased competitiveness and my uncertainty about my numbers. so far i've had some great surprises and i am very happy with my cycle :) i wish i had applied to them all at the same time so the waiting game could be complete for me!

Additional Information
5/3- dinged at UVA- def should've withdrawn from there lol! anyways, still playing the waitlist game at some of my other schools :/
4/20- although it wasn't good news, i'm so glad that my last school has weighed in on me. aside from the wl game at a few schools my cycle is pretty much complete!!!!!
4/19- decision rendered at last school. reserve at cornell after waiting for all of eternity. kinda tired of them....
4/14- ugh :( i hate withdrawing and saying bye to great schools and excellent scholarships....
btw, the uva graph is a bit ridiculous w/ all the WL!
4/12- dinged at stanford so no cali for me!
4/1- nothing major to report. just getting the w/d process underway. it really sucks dropping schools that i would graduate from nearly debt free...
3/19- WL at Emory earlier this week. Not interested anymore so will withdraw soon. Can the rest of my schools decide already?! I'm ready to be done!
3/10- double ding at UChicago/UPenn yikes lol! glad to be two schools closer to completing my cycle though...
3/9- WL from UCDavis and $$ from BC (yay!)
3/4- beautiful scholarship from WUSTL! also withdrew from W&L to free up space and $$- my first yes so it was kind of sad...
2/23- peace out American.
2/22- boo :( texas dinged me before i got to withdraw- i guess my not sending a LOCI made it clear i wasn't still interested... oh well lol.
2/19- another expected ding! though i could've used that money i'm glad i took the chance on HLS.
2/18- my first (expected) rejection courtesy of UCB lol. their e-mail was nice enough though.
2/16- in at wustl- great choices all around :)
2/8- wasn't that hot about being in minn anyway :-P
2/6- in at sunny and warm USC! hope to visit them soon!
2/3- since i would never pick Vandy over many of the schools i've already been accepted to i decided withdraw!
1/25- in at Notre Dame w/ $$ :)
1/21- in at GWU!
1/16- in at UIUC w/ $$! first yes in 2010!
1/2/2010- happy new year! no new info over here. very content with my cycle though so the waiting isn't as miserable.
12/24- In at Indiana with $$- great Christmas present :)

12/12- 3 more days till some early action decisions come back. should be interesting...
12/10- nothing like the first one courtesy of W&L!! i'm going to law school!!!!!!!
12/8- wow, the 12/1 DRs from gtown were brutal..still UR there but feeling extra unsure and have added 2 more apps to the mix..
12/7- boo to having no decisions. glad i applied EA to some of my schools so someone is forced to tell me something within the next few weeks...

Thanks!! I went under review on 11/19 and again on 12/3 so the whole process was pretty quick. Are you under review yet?
Congrats! Saturday, December 19th, 2009 at 6:25 pm

Congrats on an amazing cycle. We have similar stats and I hope I have similar results. Not likely though, especially since I applied much later. Have you made a decision yet?
gtown Monday, February 8th, 2010 at 3:49 pm
Hey! I did go and I really liked it! I would be completely happy going there. Its in a good location in DC and the students seemed really laid back but involved at the same time. The career services offices were very focused which was also very important to me. Are you planning on visiting?

We probably saw each other there and didn't even know it!
The reason I say that about UVa is because they have a bad habit of over-enrolling their class and only picking a couple of people off their waitlist. I personally like gtown better, but I feel like I'm not supposed to lol.

I was really paranoid about not getting into any schools, so I ended up applying to way too many schools. It definitely took a while to get all those applications completed. Congratulations on your acceptances so far! You've got some great choices. Good luck with the rest of your cycle!

No, I haven't visited Gtown yet. I'm going down this month for Open House! How about you? You're having an amazing cycle! What's your top choice?
Georgetown Tuesday, March 9th, 2010 at 11:04 pm
Congrats once again, my application was denied on Friday

Is there any benefit to withdrawing your application? You took the time and paid the money to submit the application, why not wait for their decision? What if they offer you a full ride and a Ferrari? Kidding about the Ferrari of course, but I'm curious if there is any benefit to withdrawing?
great cycle! Monday, March 22nd, 2010 at 8:42 am
You've done quite well this cycle and should be very proud of your acceptances. What school are you most likely to attend? I'm thinking about taking the money at GWU.

It's really a relief being done, but withdrawing wasn't my choice: GULC requires that you withdraw from all other schools once you get a scholarship. It's really annoying since I love Columbia but Gtown is still great. Have you sent in any deposits?
