Additional info & updates

11/27 - Rejected at Cornell via email. Bummer, but not unexpected.

12/10 - Accepted to Quinnipiac via email. The acceptance package is in the mail. *received the acceptance package (12/13). 35k/yr. no stips. WOW!

12/14 - Accepted at Northeastern

12/17 - Waitlisted at Minnesota via email. I'm thrilled it wasn't an outright rejection! Guess I'll wait and see what happens.

12/19 - Waitlisted at Iowa via status checker. Like Minnesota, I'm glad it's not an outright rejection since I would be honored and excited to attend either. Given my LSAT, I'm happy with a WL. I'm assuming this is around the time I learn patience is a virtue!

12/21 - In at Vermont via status checker/email! The cycle is going really well for me

12/21 - OMG, OMG, OMG...In at UW via email!! I can't believe it!! Merry Christmas to me! Acceptance package is in the mail!

01/03 - In at Syracuse! This is an exciting acceptance since they also have a killer MPP program that I might be able to get into and complete in tandem!

01/07 - Waitlisted at Illinois. Not an outright rejection, so I'm not too disappointed.

01/25 - In a L&C! Totally stoked about this. 2 for 2 in the Pacific Northwest.

02/08 - In at Penn State. Got the email with a $5K scholarship a year. Not sure that's enough to get me there given other offers. Still, it's a consideration.

2/25 - Got the waitlist notification from BU. I'm honestly shocked I got that far given my LSAT. I appreciate being waitlisted, but given my financial need and the very slim chance of getting any scholarship money, I'm going to have to officially withdraw.

3/7 - IN AT BERKELEY!!!! I can't believe it! What an amazing thrill. I submitted early but went through Faculty Review (FR) so I found out a bit later than most. Regardless, I got the call from Dean Tom and I'm still in shock. Amazing!

Thank you for your kind post. It's refreshing to see that there can be healthy respect for other applicants out there. I wish you good luck too on your apps. Congratulations on getting into Suffolk and U Maine. I hope you get many more acceptances this cycle.

Best of luck with your cycle and congrats on your acceptances! I was wondering, did you get an automatic fee waiver to Cornell or did you successfully solicit? If so, was it merit or need-based? I ask because my LSAT is also significantly below their median, but I would really like to apply there too, and any money saved is good.

Thanks oj! My hope is that withdrawing helps those waitlisted or applying to the schools. Cheers to you and I wish you the best this cycle.

Congrats on Berkeley! Any tips you can provide?

Thanks for the congrats Bob and many wishes back at you! The only tip I can give you is to write a full 4 page PS that is tailored to why Berkeley. That, and if your scores are like mine, pick a lot of 4-leaf clovers, rub a lot of Buddah bellies and get a ton of rabbits' feet because there is some serious luck involved. :)
