Extra Curricular Information

I lived in central Russia and I speak Russian.

My PS was about my upbringing on an agricultural research farm and how I knew I wanted to become an advocate.

I was a peer mentor for almost my entire undergrad experience. This was a full-time job in the summer and part-time job in the school year (20hrs a week). We raised retention by 10% over four years.

Completed independent research.

Successfully completed honors program.

I ran two marathons.

Additional info & updates

12/18 Admitted to Minnesota. I was really surprised by this, and more surprised to get substantial aid.

Deposit Deadline Updates
4/3 Deposited at Mizzou. Gotta love the full ride. This school has been my rock through the whole process. First acceptance too.

4/15 was the deadlines for U of Utah and U of Minnesota. Both were stellar offers. Didn't want to stay in Utah and Minnesota was a little too expensive. If money was no object, I would have gone to Minnesota for sure.

Baylor was 5/1. I negotiated from a third tuition to half tuition, but the cost would have still been past six digits. This was a hard one to let go of.

5/4 Still waiting on George Mason. Interviewed on 4/27.
