Took me 10 years to finish college. BUT, have a 10 year career in human services, with increasing responsibility as I changed jobs.

My work gave me several opportunities for interaction with state systems and bureaucracy, which I wrote about at length in my PS.

All scholarship information is per year. Can't believe I got in anywhere, let alone got offered any money.

3-20-12 -- FU SU. No moneys from them. Sad face. Kind of a let down after the offer I got from Hofstra. Waiting on $$ info from Pace, Quinnipiac. Still waiting on decisions from Albany and Buffalo, its a real nail biter!

3-21-12 -- Got my snail mail acceptance from Quinnipiac today. They offered pretty good money, so I need to at least go check it out. I wasn't expecting that kind of money. Still expensive though.

3-29-12 -- Talked to Pace today. The scholarship offer was meh but I dont really care to go there anyways. Still waiting (and waiting and waiting) on Albany and Buffalo.

4-2-12 -- Waitlisted at Albany. It was one of my top choices, close to home and my family, and I am very much bummed out about this. Also feeling very uneasy about Buffalo and fear that I might get Waitlisted or flat out dinged. Guess I'm going to Quinnipiac?

4-14-12 -- got a letter from Hofstra the other day, they upped my scholarship from 20k a year to 30k. Sent my deposit in, and feeling pretty good about this now.

5--02--12 -- Got a call from very friendly admissions dean from Buffalo today! Offered me a seat and when i told her about scholarship from Hofstra, offered me 5k a year, which makes it cheaper than Hofstra! Going! Final Decision!!!
