Additional info & updates

Well, it really hurts to turn down the scholarship money, but Berkeley is the school that made me want to apply to law school in the first place. I've planned all along to do public interest environmental work, so with Berkeley's LRAP and federal PSLF, I feel like I still have avenues to afford Berkeley's steep tuition and get to where I want to go.

Berkeley Law 2016!

Applied late in the cycle due to travel during the fall--hoping that I can still get acceptances and $$ from my top choices!

1/11: In at Berkeley via phone--didn't expect to hear so soon, so I didn't even have time to get excited/anxious!

1/17: In at NYU via phone
UPDATE (3/11): Received scholarship offer via email. $15,000 for the first two years, $7,500 for the last year (unless I work public interest my 2L summer, in which case it's $15,000 all three years).

2/15: In at U of Minnesota via phone. No mention of scholarship, which is what I was hoping for.
UPDATE (2/23): Decision letter from U of Minnesota included full-ride offer...this thickens the plot a bit

2/26: Waitlisted at Virginia via email. No chance of money, I imagine, so I'm withdrawing.

3/13: Accepted at CU Boulder via email

3/14: Admitted at Duke via email
3/30 received scholarship info via snail mail (scholarship form received 3/19, for those interested in the turnaround time)

4/12: Waitlisted at Michigan via email.

4/30: Status checker showed decision letter sent by Stanford, called admissions office and found out I was rejected. Not a big surprise at this point.
