12/19:
In at FSU
In at Miami
Rejected by Georgetown

*Miami was expected. Email followed a week later by a letter.

*Stoked about FSU. Great school in my home state. Phone call followed by an admission package.

*I'm a little bummed about GT. Don't slack in school kids, a 3.6 is a whole lot sexier than a 3.3. I applied early decision and indicated that I would enroll in their part-time if offered. No dice though.

12/22: In at Nova via email

12/23:
*In at Washington and Lee...so quick!

*Miami scholarship package makes their tuition comparable with FSU and UF.

1/10: In at William and Marry via mail. Scholarship included. Great news! I thought this one would go waitlist, so I'm thrilled to have recieved a scholarship offer. Hopefully, I get one or two more happy letters before the thin envelopes start flowing in.

1/13: In at Florida. That sound you hear is the the stress of law school applications flowing out of the room. I want to live and work in Florida, so FSU and UF have always been the reasonable and most likely choices. With the thumbs up from UF 90% of my decision has already been made. Anything else is icing on the cake.

1/15: Rejected by UVA via emai

1/26:
*Completed the Florida sweep. Full ride at Stetson plus a $5,000 stipend. Out of nowhere Tampa is now on my radar.

*Call from Alabama with $17,500 a year.

2/02: Waitlist at George Washington.

2/03: Rejected at UCLA - I feel like I just buried a beloved pet.

2/09: Big blue sigh, rejected at Michigan

2/13: Scholarship offer from Washington and Lee via email. The scholarship roughly covers half their tuition. Huge discount from a very respectable school.

2/18: Duke says no.

2/21: Rejected at Vandy

2/23: Waitlist at BC

3/09: Rejected by Texas and recieved a $20,00 per year offer at Nova.

3/26: Sent out the first batch of withdrawls. Bit of advice for anyone choosing between UF and FSU. Spend time at both school OUTSIDE OF ADMITTED STUDENTS EVENTS. The oncampus vibes are immensly different in real life.
