As for getting a high LSAT, I don't really have much to add to the information already out there. TLS was very helpful in figuring out a study schedule. I self-studied for a little over three months, took every practice test from 40 onward, and used Manhattan's books in addition to the logic games bible. Focus on weaknesses. I am lucky enough to be pretty naturally good at LR and picked it up very quickly, so I spent most of my study time practicing games and the few LR types that I struggled with. I think something that really helped me was keeping my practice tests strict. Not a second extra allowed, no extra breaks, move from one section to the next quickly, use bubble sheets, etc. Two weeks before the real thing I tried to mimic my test day routine. Get up at the right time, eat a similar breakfast, drink my coffee before the test (instead of while testing, which I had been doing but do not recommend). Check out your test room beforehand! I was placed in probably the worst room at my university-- a large auditorium with squeaky chairs and those terrible fold-over half-desks that couldn't really fit the booklet+answer sheet. But I knew this ahead of time, so it didn't throw me off as much as some other kids who were visibly and audibly freaking out over the unexpected situation. As far as applying goes, I'm hesitant to offer anything yet. We'll see how it goes, and if I really kill it then I'll come back with more advice.
Congrats on Georgetown! I will be following you since we have similar numbers (LSAT: 173, GPA: 3.2).
Hey! I wanted to check in since we have such similar numbers and see if you had any updates to your cycle?
Here goes round two...
Congrats on the LSAT! Any tips for people applying in the next cycle?
