Wrote "Why X?" essays for MPVDNC. Tailored PS to Berkeley and Stanford.

11/20: In at Duke via PT.

11/29: KB1 scheduled.

12/1: In at Georgetown via post. Letter dated 11/21.

12/5: KB1.

12/8: KB2! Brilliant.

12/13: In at NYU via "decision letter sent" status update. Phone call 12/15.

12/19: In at Cornell. Invited to write supplemental essay for Dean's Scholarship.

1/13: In at both Chicago and Penn via phone call.

1/24: Received e-mail offering a spot on Virginia's wait list. Withdrew my application shortly thereafter.

2/1: Held at Northwestern => application withdrawn.

2/3: Was earlier invited to apply for the Levy at Penn; ultimately withdrew my application, as I can't see myself attending over Harvard.

2/16: Rejected at Berkeley via status checker. Oh, well: I'm happy to add a touch of red to a sea of green.

3/12: Received financial aid notification from NYU: $25,000 the first two years and then $12,500 for the third, which would become $25,000 were I to pursue a PI internship during my 2L summer. Also got word of my HLS grant; it exceeded my expectations, and I'll post more information regarding this at the end of the cycle.

3/21: Withdrew my application to NYU. All things considered, attending wouldn't have made financial or professional sense.

3/27: In at Columbia via email. No mention made of scholarship information in the VCE, so I'll soon withdraw my application.

3/30: Rejected by Yale via email.

4/9: Withdrew from Chicago. The scholarship amount, while significant, isn't enough to pull me away from HLS and their grant offer. An acceptance to Stanford is now the only thing that could lead me away from Cambridge.

4/25: DLS from Stanford; it's a wait list.

7/1: Withdrew application from Stanford.
