Additional info & updates

Georgetown sent me an e-mail today saying that I've been placed on their "Preferred Waitlist." More like "preferred loser" (2/22)

First piece of bad news: Waitlisted at UCLA. DAGGER. But I got in to USC. And then there were 2.... (2/11)

Still waiting to hear back from the final 4 schools. Scholarships are slowly coming in. I guess I should start planning visits to some of the more exotic locations like Boston and Minneapolis . (2/5)

Got an e-mail from Catholic U today saying I was in and that I was offered a scholarship. The only problem is that the scholarship is only renewed if you're in the top 25% of your class every year. (12/6)

Busy week with a mix of good and bad news. Good: Accepted at BU and full ride at UBaltimore. Bad: Deferred to regular decision pool for both Georgetown and Cornell. Got a phone call from BU with the good news. That was classy. (11/25)

Found out through e-mail and status checker that I got into Washington & Lee. They said the physical acceptance package will arrive in a few days and scholarships will be announced in January. Going into DC tomorrow for a Georgetown interview. (11/11)

Just got my acceptance package from UBaltimore. No info on scholarships in the mailing, but I did find this piece of info on the school's website: "Law Students: Initial scholarship offers will be made shortly after an offer of admission." At least I didn't completely strike out for this admissions cycle. (10/31)

Georgetown sent me an e-mail today requesting that I sign up for an alumni interview. Hopefully I'll get to talk to someone in person. (10/28)

I called GW and BC today because I had yet to get an e-mail from either one of them saying that they had received my application. Apparently they don't send e-mails just to tell you that they got your app. (10/18)

Got a fee waiver e-mail from USC. I don't know if I would really fit in on the west coast, but I figured that it was worth the $12 to apply. This whole process has been so much more enjoyable than applying to undergrad. (10/10)

Got a few more status checker e-mails. Here's the list of them so far: Catholic, Georgetown, Washington and Lee, Minnesota, Cornell, Baltimore. I'm pretty sure every school will send an e-mail whenever something noteworthy happens in the status of an application, but it is fun to have something to log in to. Also, the in-state status application that's in the Supplemental Forms section of the Maryland App cannot be sent electronically through LSAC (even though it's in the electronic application). It can only be mailed or faxed directly. Lame. (10/5)

Slowly starting to get more e-mails that applications were received. A few more status checkers as well. I really enjoyed the e-mail from Boston U that said "it will take approximately 3 weeks to determine if your application is complete." I'm pretty sure that I just wasted $97 by applying to Georgetown ED, but maybe I can sneak in if my application is accidentally put in the "accepted" pile instead of the garbage. (10/3)

Finally submitted applications after waiting for a LOR to be processed. As of today, all LSAC reports have been sent and received by schools. Got an e-mail from Minnesota with my log in for their status checker (9/27)

What DCI corps did you march?

Actually that's a stupid question, I think I can tell you marched HNC from the user name haha. I marched Scouts this past summer. Congrats on the great acceptances so far!
