10/5- According to status checker on the Baylor website, a decision has been made on my file and a letter is being sent!!! That was quick! Now I just have to wait for the letter!

10/13- Received acceptance letter from Baylor with a 1/2 tuition scholarship renewable for all 3 years!! This will make my final decision much harder. Came snail mail in a large white envelope.

11/20- Email from UT... ED application held for further review...

12/14- Accepted at USD. Came in a large white envelope.

12/26- WoooHooo!!! In at Colorado with a scholarship. Full first year tuition plus $5,000 for 2nd and 3rd years.

1/15- In at LC and UH. Both came in regular sized envelopes. Scholarship at LC... $19,000 for first year, renewable all 3 years.

Scholarship at USD. $17,000 for first year, not guaranteed anything for 2nd and 3rd. Really not enough to make this a competitive choice against my other offers considering cost of tuition and living in san diego.

Decided to throw in one last application.... a little late, but we'll see what happens.

3/24- email from UH saying that i have been chosen to receive a $10,000 per year fellowship on top of the $10,000 per year scholarship i've already received. $20,000 a year makes UH much harder to pass up.

3/26- With some of the deadlines creeping up extremely fast, I still have no idea what to do.

Congrats! The scholarship is wonderful. I received a fee waiver and plan on applying this weekend. It's great to see another woman in engineering applying.

I sent their admissions office an e-mail to check the status of my app.

I got a letter via snail mail from them letting me know they had received my application. In the letter was a username and password to check my application status online. It took about two weeks after I got the letter before I could actually access the site (I guess all my info wasn't processed yet). Anyway, all my info showed up on the status checker, so I just called myself complete. But I haven't heard anything from them since that first letter.

I'm not sure that I'm complete; my online status check showed that they received all my docs, so I assumed that I'm complete.

My top choice is still really up in the air. Probably won't be able to decide for a while. I wouldn't be surprised if I send in deposits to more than one school.

Nope. It never changes for anyone. Mine still says I'm being held for consideration. Good luck!

Wow, looks like you and I are in really similar situations! Are you riding the UT waitlist or have you decided on somewhere else?

UH is the only school I'm considering (other than UT). The fellowship has the same requirements as the dean scholarship (2.9). A friend of mine at UH said a 2.9 is top 70%, so it's not hard to maintain. I'm going to ride out the UT waitlist as long as possible, while looking for housing in Houston. Good luck!
