Real numbers and information listed now that my cycle is officially over.

Involved in several extracirriculars: Fraternity, some other groups around campus. Work part time at large corporation while going to school full time.

My cycle was unique due to having some some character and fitness issues. In short, I had multiple tickets and some charges that resulted in dismissal. If you have similar issues and are worried about applying, feel free to email me anytime.

Overall, the cycle went leagues better than I expected. I have been worried these past two years because I thought my tickets would get me rejected everywhere. I did get rejected to some schools such as Miami, Catholic, and Marquette that I for sure should have gotten into, but they weren't schools I cared about anyways. I was especially pleased to get wait listed at most of my reaches: Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Iowa, and eventually accepted by Wisconsin. My C and F issues had a minimal effect on my cycle.

12/2/11 - Denver sent me a rejection email, which upset me. Five minutes later, they sent me an apology email saying the email was sent in error and that my application was still under review. Very odd. Anyone else ever had this happen to them?

12/7/11 - In at DePaul! Awaiting scholarship in the mail.

1/23/12 - "Held" at U of I. I take that this is a waitlist. I'm actually happy. I will be submitting a LOCI absolutely begging to be accepted.

1/31/12 - Accepted at MSU with 75% tuition scholarship! I did not expect this after being held.

2/1/12 - Rejected from Colorado. I expected this, but it still stings. Jerks.

2/2/12 - Emailed JMLS asking for a more "competitive" offer last night. Woke up to an email increasing scholarship to $30,000 a year. I will be attempting to negotiate for more, perhaps after I visit.

2/8/12 - "Preliminary Waitlist" at Iowa, better than a rejection I suppose. Realistically, paying sticker here OOS would be suicidal, further reinforcing my decision to take a year off. Rejected at Marquette. Whatever.

2/20/12 - Email from Wisconsin informing me I've been waitlisted. Again, I expected worse so this isn't necessairly bad. Will submit LOCI as email requested. Apperantly Big Ten schools like to waitlist me, hopefully Illinois or Ohio State pulls through.

2/24/12: Sent LOCI's to Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois.

2/28/12 - I sent an email withdrawing from Indiana - Bloomington two weeks ago (my application never went complete because I never completed the resident affidavit). They never responded, and today my application went into review. So either they never received my withdrawal email, or they decided to put me into review and will reject me to boost their yield. This should be interesting.

3/19/12 - Officially waitlisted at Illinois. Will definitely try to ride this waitlist out. My cycle is officially over!

3/21/12 - Withdrew from DePaul, Denver, and Kent. Sent email asking for more money for SLU, which resulted in an increase from $10,000 / year to $17000 / year!

4/13/12 - Officially waitlisted at Iowa, as opposed to remaining on the "preliminary waitlist." That's cool I guess?

4/23/12 - John Marshall sent email offering full scholarship even after i withdrew. This is seriously tempting. I have until April 30 to decide.

5/4/12 - Accepted internship. Given a non-binding deferral with scholarship by Michigan State. I will be retaking the LSAT in October. "May the 4th be with you."

5/21/12 - Accepted off the waitlist at Wisconsin Madison! However, I will be immediately withdrawing to give the seat to another student. Feels good to be accepted into a Tier One school!
