2/9/12 - Took so long to get both LOR's (long story of lost mail and very busy professors) that I fear I may not get into any of my top choice schools. I waited until I had both to send out any of my apps so I could do all the schools at once, and not be in the position of having to make a decision without hearing from all my prospects. Hopefully I have not pushed myself back to applying for a January program, or even worse waiting until next Fall which really is not an option at this point. Hoping and praying that they will "need" someone with my stats (a URM, a NTA, older than your average grad student, and a veteran). Who knows?
This is why I don't gamble; Can't take the pressure of putting things into the hands of fate I guess...

2/13/12 - My 2nd letter posted today!
Hopefully I will get a few responses before I leave town in a couple of weeks (for a month). I will have someone checking my mail, and I will be on the LSAC website as constantly as my international roaming data plan will allow. Just a matter of waiting now.

2/21/12 - Sent in my video interview for NYLS yesterday. Really awkward, but hopefully it can't hurt to put a face to the application. Hopefully.

Been reading a blog called Third Tier Reality (Blogspot?). Absolutely TRASHES many 3rd and 4th tier schools. Good info, but very depressing for those of us relegated to these schools. Not too worried in any event because I plan to use my law degree to different ends than most who want to go into private practice or work for a big firm or whatever.

** Got accepted to Rutgers Newark !! Didn't think I would get into a state school.

2/22/12 - Accepted at Fla. Coastal, WL'd at St. John's. Moving right along now...

2/23/12 - Accepted at Widener. Found out by checking their site just now.

2/26/12 - All other apps still in review. Hoping to get FA package before I leave but that's probably not going to happen. There is also something weird with accessing my FAFSA for 2012-13, hmm.

3/1/12 - Welcome to Hong Kong!!
Pretty much decided to go to Rutgers at this point. Oh well, you snooze ya' loose CUNY (taking long, bad sign).

Thanks! (Finally figured out the protocol is to place my response here to be helpful to others) They notified me by email at exactly noon. This was followed by one from the Student Bar Association and one from the Minority Student Program, which I also applied for.
