Thanks! I first got a call from their admissions office, then received an email with all the information.
Hi! I was just wondering if your GPA play a big role in your admission/scholarship to KU? Or if they mentioned anything about it/gave you any stipulations in order to keep your scholarship? Thanks, and congrats!
Where do you plan on attending? Any plans to retake that LSAT?
m156f544, They didn't mention anything about my GPA, but I'm sure it played a role in my scholarship. I think, considering my low uGPA, that I have been really lucky to get the scholarships that I have. If I had to guess, I'd say that my personal statement and experience/time away from school has worked well for me. If I remember correctly, the ended up giving me 3 scholarships, only one was conditional-and I believe all I had to do was keep a 3.0.
Sreya, I'm going to Mizzou! They ended up giving me the best scholarship (down to only $3k/year!) and I think it'll be very doable to stay within their guidelines for keeping it (3.0, top 50%). I thought for a split second about retaking the LSAT, but I just don't think it's worth it to me for what I want to do. With a JD from MU, I'll be able to get most jobs in Missouri and maybe some other markets as well while not forcing myself into a crappy job by taking on too much in loans.
Hey! Congrats on your acceptances! In terms of KU, how did they notify you that you'd been accepted?
