GW PT

I believe I went complete around late October/early November. Not 100% sure which area...possibly IP, but open to others. Do you attend GW PT now?

I wouldn't say that there is anything particularly "special" about me. As we all know, outside the numbers, the admissions game can be fairly random. Some things that I think helped me out: 1) Excellent (IMHO) personal statement. I put a lot of time into it and used it as an opportunity to highlight my unique combination of majors (Computer Science and Psychology). Writing has always been a strong point for me. 2) Received 'Highest Honors' for my Honors Psychology thesis. 3) Strong recs from honors advisor and another prof who knew me well. 4) Solid work experience. 5) Good combo of school-related and volunteer EC's. 6) Applied early in the cycle. 7) A little bit of luck. Honestly, I think that with the PT program they have a lot more leeway to look at your total package. You still need numbers in a certain range (mine are probably at the lower end of the spectrum - GPA definitely), but I think they are looking for people who interest them (either through your PS or some unique part of your background, goals, whatever). For me, it was probably my PS, research, and my majors that made me stand out. But, hey...who really knows? :) Good luck!

As long as your LSAT isn't too low...it sounds like you definitely have a shot. My gpa has been a source of stress for me in all this...so I can relate. Best of luck!

Public Ivy is a loose term that I have heard used to refer to my school (as well as some others). Basically just means that it is a really good public school. If you want a more in-depth definition, try wikipedia (I love that site).

Barring a miracle admit at Berkeley, I'll most likely be headed to GW. Still want to hear some scholarship offers though...if there are any :)

No, I don't recall GW sending me an email or anything when I was complete. Sent in all my stuff and the next communication I got from them was my acceptance.

Congratulation on all your success! Where are you headed? I'm in waitlist limbo myself at Santa Clara. I'm trying to get a feel for how late in the game people pull out their acceptances.
