Additional info & updates

12/18 - Held over at BC. Kind of disappointing. The decision will not come until 2/28 now.

1/16 - Email from Baylor. Accepted with a full tuition scholarship.

1/27 - My dad called me to tell me I was accepted to Emory. They sent the admissions packet to my permanent address.

1/31 - Got a phone call from UT. Could not believe it. Emory and Texas in the same week! Obviously UT mattered more though.

2/7 - Dinged at George Mason and I could care less. I think part of it was because they wanted a shorter ps (500 words). My ps is definitely a strong point on my apps, but I had to alter a lot for this app so I am guessing that is the reason.

2/20 - Updating the situation as of now. Pretty much set on Texas unless I get into Michigan or Virginia and they offer some money - then things will get complicated. My file just went into review at UH yesterday, but that doesn't matter anyways. I am planning on withdrawing from all the schools except for Emory, UT, UVA, and Michigan.
My cycle went about ten times better than I expected. I scored ten points lower on my LSAT than I had been practicing. In hindsight I should have retaken it, but I was tired of dealing with it and things worked out in the end. Texas was originally my first choice and im in.

3/5 - Dinged at UVA. Very much disappointing, but this just makes my decision to go to UT that much easier. Still waiting on Michigan.

3/26 - Dinged at Michigan. Meh. Staying in Tejas

4/4 - Dinged at Houston. Assuming it was a YP. Really weird though and definitely unexpected. I was predicting scholarship and instead got rejected.

At this point I am just updating the rest of my apps to help others.

4/9 - Put my deposit in at Texas last night. Feels awesome to be done. I negotiated some scholarship money out of them too.

The only app I am waiting on is Indiana-Bloomington. If they ever send me anything I will update my profile.

My girlfriend really wants to attend UT-Austin. She currently lives in Austin, grew up in Houston. Her undergraduate GPA is 3.67 and her test LSAT scores are coming out to be high 150 and low 160. Your scores are very similar to hers so I thought I would ask...what helped the most for when you applied? She is in state which is great and she is going to apply early. Is there anything else she can do? She will not be a URM, not sure if that will be a big problem :(
