Additional info & updates

*3 yrs out of undergrad
*URM with 4 learning disabilities Worked for 2.5 yrs to get my LSAT score up 14 pts with a lack of appropriate accommodations. Worst LDs are my limited working memory and inability to assign value to numbers and symbols. Logic Games are actually impossible for my brain...ended up missing almost every single one of those questions, so had to make sure the rest of the sections were spot on.

Goal has always been to practice family law in North Carolina.

01/16/18: Submitted UNC, Wake, and Campbell. Campbell received and complete. Wake received and Complete. No word from UNC either way.
01/20/18: Still no word from UNC. Sent email to verify it was received. Got an email back that due to snow, they got slowed down. Sent excessive supplemental email shortly after. Submitted within the same day it was sent.
01/22/19: Full application complete at UNC. Phew! Begin seeing things about following a status tracker online, but was never given any log in info...begin to stress again...
01/29/18: In at Campbell with almost full tuition and personal call from Dean to submit for Public Service scholarship
01/19/18: Sent Emory
01/22/18: Emory Complete
02/08/2018: In at Wake via status checker and uncomfortably sob at work because I never thought I would get this far at all. 3/4 tuition scholarship for all three years! Holy cow!
02/16/2018: Went to Wake's admitted student's day and had mixed feelings. LOVED the actual law school and the class I sat in on but got kind of weird vibes while I was there from current students and admitted students...
03/06/2018: Sent another email to UNC because wait has been very long and hadn't heard anything about status checker at all.Emailed to ask about status checker and let them know about new job and continued interest/let them know UNC was my first choice. Got an email back with apologies for never sending me status checker log in.
03/08/18: In with $15,000 a year! Incredible! Begin to sob because in at my first choice and the stress and worry was beginning to drain on me.

03/22/18: Check in time! Now trying to decide between my first choice (UNC) and my VERRRRY close second choice (Wake Forest). UNC will allow me to live at home rent free, which cuts down my COA by half of what Wake's COA is...also went to UNC for undergrad, so it feels more like home, but still unsure because Wake would be a new, fresh place and they have been so wonderful during the sometimes stressful admissions process.

03/23/18: UNC Admitted Student's Day was quite a success and felt much more at home than at Wake. Put in seat deposit at UNC.

03/27/18: In at William and Mary (I applied super late). Scholarship info to come.
