I finally decided on Chicago. It was a tough choice between Chicago and Duke, but in the end I decided I really didn't want to be spending the next 3 years in a red state! :) No money at Chicago, though, but I decided it was worth it. As for extra info, I had 2 people send in extra recs, I gave them updated transcript/summer plans info, and I wrote a letter saying how much I wanted to go there.
