Additional info & updates

4/16 - Visited WUSTL today, and liked what I saw a lot. I could definitely see myself here; hope that I can get off the hold list. Also sent off my NU LOCI.

4/15 - Looks like my LOCI worked, I'm in at Wisconsin!

4/12 - Held at Northwestern, so I'm still in the game.

3/31 - Waitlisted at UW Madison, a school I would love to go to. Sent in a LOCI to that effect, and I'm cautiously optimistic.

3/30 - Held at WUSTL. I'm hoping very much this will turn into an acceptance down the line. Also out at Minnesota.

3/23 - Out at UVA. Not surprised even one bit.

3/16 - DR at Loyola, got a WL letter a few days later. I thought this was a school I could get into outright, so I'm very disappointed.

3/15 - Decision rendered at DePaul, but have to wait on snail mail for result. Got to think I'm in.

3/9 - First decision is an acceptance from Penn State! Feels good knowing I'm in somewhere.

---

Four undergrads over eight semesters (two each). First two, average GPA of ~ 1.0. 3.9 GPA at third (community college), 3.24 GPA thus far at current school.

Trying to sell myself heavily on a year-round camp that I've worked at for several years. I worked there when I was in between schools, and my personal statement discusses how the responsibility I was given there -- being one of the summer camp directors -- reshaped my attitude towards life, school, work, obligations, etc.

Good luck with your waitlists. I think you have a good shot getting off at WUSTL, they haven't rejected anyone with a 167+ yet. I think you'll get off eventually.
