Hard to say for LORs... one is from my advisor and professor who I've known for 3 years and who thinks very highly of me, the other is from a professor whose class I took quite recently, although I scored highly in his class. Overall, likely average to good recommendations.

Good luck to everyone this cycle, especially to all the splitters aiming high (although I split the less common way, it seems)!

Additional info & updates

1/24 - Into Duke! Acceptance via email

1/28 -Into GW, acceptance via email

2/4 -Email about merit scholarship award from GW, 90000 over three years!

2/13, letter dated 2/1 - Acceptance by mail from Emory! 90000 over three years.

2/19: Acceptance call from BU! No email or online notification, gotta wait for acceptance package.

2/22/13
PS: wanted to divide up my list for my own organizational benefit, since this is generally where I'm keeping track of things. Things aren't ranked in terms of preference so much as tier (1 definitely nos but worth a shot, 2 likely no but possible, 3 hopefully attainable, 4 definitely attainable, 5-7 considering withdrawing my application at this point)

Northwestern and NYU just had super fast turnaround time for me for some reason (but Duke was via PT which accounts for the speediness). Congrats on your acceptance, as well! Best of luck with the rest of your cycle.
