Figured I would help out future applicants who have the same stellar gpa/lsat/mistakes

Treated my undergrad too much like a party. No plan for law school at the time so didnt think gpa mattered.

Guess all I can do is move forward and learn from my mistakes. Advice to all still in undergrad, if you even have the slightest hint of considering law school in the future, dont slack off.

Finally made up my mind (hotty toddy) might as well make the the account public.

Hi, I was wondering if your Charleston scholarship was supposed to be spread over three years or if they intended to give you that amount each year? You might not even check this site anymore, but I figured it didn't hurt to ask. Thanks! Sarah

Charleston was per year. This was fairly hard to turn down too. In the end I think I realized that I liked the city... not so much the school. Don't get me wrong school may have potential but its just too big a risk for me. The final T chart went something like this for me Pros- Great location ( Awesome city one of only 2 schools in state) New School (can truly shape the way the school develops Fairly affordable (after scholarship) Cons For profit ( wont see 100% of tuition returned in services while I understand that the founders are taking a huge risk in starting the school up. They make themselves out to be great philanthropists would feel better about taking out loans if they called it what it was an investment makes it seem cheesy when you misrepresent yourself) Poor facilities (while i get that it is in the city and space is limited. Having your classes in a rented building shared with other businesses and a law library that is attached to a rock concert hall is a big draw back) Too new ( while also a pro the school doesn't exactly have a stellar reputation in the SC legal market yet while people seem to want to embrace the school the education seems to be substandard.) This is probably more information than you were looking for but felt like explaining why im not attending the school I had listed as number one before applying. While it may seem like a detailed cons list understand that it was a hard decision and that i really did like the school. PM me if you want to know what the scholarships were called and ill dig out the packet.
