You got into Fordham and w&l straight up? Not making someone with the same stats and waitlists very confident.

hello, I will be taking the lsat 3 times and hope to score 166+ on the lsat I've been practicing in the 160s and my GPA is 3.25 at graduation. I would love to attend Fordam, being that you were under the 75th percentile for gpa and lsat, what were your strengths in the application process? Thank you

I did end up getting into Fordham and W&L straight up, W&L gave me a pretty strong scholarship. Fordham hasn't, which is annoying as I am a current Fordham undergrad.

I've been lucky enough to have really strong extracurriculars. I interned for President Clinton during my junior year, interned for a Congressman for four years, interned in a municipality's attorney's office, president of a club on campus, etc. I also, according to the pre-law dean at my school, wrote one of the best personal statements she has ever seen and had very strong letters of recommendations for well known professors (one of them is pretty much the leading historian on the Second Amendment and wrote an amicus brief in McDonald v. District of Columbia, for DC). I have a very weird GPA, I go to Fordham, which has a very large gen-ed requirement. My GPA in both of my majors are a good amount higher than my actual GPA because I am very good at political Science and history, but I'm pretty awful at science and math, thus the cumulative GPA. Hope this helps.
