Additional info & updates

Growing up an Air Force brat, I moved around a lot. Now that my family calls NC home, as has for a while, I knew that I wanted to practice in NC and stay in NC for law school. That is why I applied to the schools I did and not some from other parts of the country or even within the SE.

While Wake Forest was the most generous with their scholarship, and I'm positive I could have negotiated more with Campbell (I withdrew Campbell the moment I heard from Wake), I knew that UNC is where I wanted to be. Having gone to UNC for UG and also them having the best network within NC (especially the Raleigh area- where I want to be) made the choice incredibly easy.

If you have any questions about the different law schools in NC-even the ones I didn't apply to-message me and I will be more than happy to talk about it. Having worked for several law firms, I can attest to the strength of different NC law school's network in different parts of the state.

Congrats on the results! I see that you have worked throughout college and was a member of a few clubs which is great for time management. So I have to ask, how much time did you devote to your LSAT prep?? Thank you for your time!! And again, congratulations! :)

Thanks!

Thank you very much! I did not do a whole bunch in the way of LSAT prep. I worked my way through a Barron's book and through some Kaplan materials from the course my friend took. I studied roughly 5-7 hours/week for the 3 months leading up to the LSAT. Seeing as how I wasn't shooting for T-14, I knew that a 164 would get me $ to all the schools I was planning on applying to. I know this isn't conventional wisdom from many people on LSN or TLS, they'll usually say to just retake and grind until you get 170+, but it really depends on where you want to be.
