Additional info & updates

9/24 Took LSAT
9/27 interviewed on campus with Vandy
10/19 165. Not as good as I was hoping... I'll decide tomorrow whether or not to take it again.
12/3 2nd try. Had to pee through the first three sections, so we'll see how that works out.
12/28 Kinda getting late in the cycle, but that's what happens when you take the LSAT twice instead of writing your personal statement and filling out apps. Not too worried though, considering my resume and GPA, especially the fact that I maintained my GPA despite transferring to a much more difficult school.
1/3 Got December LSAT back. 164. Oh well. Deleted a few schools off my list, mainly ones that I haven't applied to yet but that I'm not getting in with my LSAT anyway (eg Columbia).
1/5 In at W+M! That was really a super-safety for me, but it feels good to be in somewhere!
1/6 Fee Waiver from Notre Dame, so I applied.
1/13 In at GWU with $135k scholarship!!!
1/17 In at Vandy! No scholarship, and with GW's $$$, they're kinda head-to-head for me rn. Got invited to interview for Cornell. Did that on 1/20, I think/hope it went well.
1/19 In at BC.
1/20 In at Emory by mail. First one not by email. $144k scholarship! Did my video interview for Cornell, think it went well (we'll see, applied ED so I'll get a decision on or by 2/28).
1/26 In at USC by email.
2/2 In at BU by phone
2/6 WashU is requesting an interview. I'll do that next week by Skype.
2/7 scratch that. Got into Cornell (ED round 2)!! I'll be submitting my deposit sometime this week.

My advice for future applicants:
1) Take the LSAT again if you feel like you want to. It may not have worked out for me score-wise, but I felt way more comfortable with my performance, and it really motivated me to polish my application to perfection and to apply to more law schools, thus expanding my options. Also, give yourself a ton of time to study. You should feel like your ready for the LSAT before you take it. If you have that feeling, then you'll get the score you need.

2) Have a first choice, even if you can't put numbers to the rest of the schools you apply to. Gotta have goals. I have no doubt that my Cornell application was the best one I submitted out of the 15.

3) Take your time. As you can see, I applied on the late side of the cycle. I just didn't have time over the summer or during the semester to get my personal statement where I wanted it. I truly attribute the magnitude of my success in this cycle to the strength of my personal statement.
