~ I guess it's safe to say Georgetown has reconsidered their initial decision now. The status checker has stayed at "under review" for the last several days. I get the feeling I just dodged a bullet. Whew.

~ Had a "test my mettle" moment today: do I dare brave the LSAT a 3rd time in June, if doing so would represent my best chance of getting off waitlists later this year? Tough question. Of course, I would first need to get waitlisted somewhere, instead of rejected outright.

~ Succumbing to cold, hard reason, I have submitted an application to UIUC. If I'm planning on working in the Midwest, it would be foolish not to apply there. I just hope it's not too late in the cycle.
~ A reenactment of yesterday's events by popular demand:

Me: Hi Michigan, I have a shiny new mailing address now. And here it is!
Mich: We don't need it. Your big fat rejection letter is ALREADY IN THE MAIL! Muahahahaha!!
Me: *shock*
Mich: Yeah, sorry. We don't usually do this by email but, in your case, we decided to make an exception. Now go eat mud.

In all seriousness, the Michigan email was very polite. They seem like wonderful folks and all the people who have already made it in are lucky indeed. Alas, despite my best efforts, it was simply not meant to be.
