not too many softs. I was an exective for 15 years and I decided I wanted to go to law school. Cashed in the savings and 401k and living the dream of being broke.
I only applied to schools which law school predictor stated I had a weak consideration or higher. Each school I requested a fee waived, sent emails to all the admissions staff. Do it, it works. I was only turned down 3 times out of 24 so those are great odds.

Additional info & updates

1/23 received my first response, a yes from UALR, the tuition and COA is cheap. It is in a capital city so that will really help and the next closest law school is over 3 hours away.

1/24 well I was wait-listed at both Nebraska and Kentucky today. I was surprised since my GPA was much higher than their median is both cases and my LSAT was close to the median. At least it wasn't a NO.

2/2 It has been awhile since I have heard from any schools. So it was good to hear from Texas Tech. They accepted me with a small scholly, and more importantly in-state tuition. However their tuition has gone up from $17K a year in 2009 to $23K for 2011. That isn't good.

2/3 Finally got good news-accepted at Louisville, my first top 100 school and it was on my top 5 list. Let's see if the others are as good.

2/9 Accepted at Gonzaga and Valpo today so I am 5 for 5.
2/14- Withdrew from Valpo- they didn't offer any scholly and my stats are above their 75%
2/24- Received a nice call from Dean Miller at U of Ark- Accepted.
2/27- Accepted at West Virginia- via on-line checker
3/2- Today was a good day. I was accepted to Phoenix School of Law, TTTT school but they offered a great scholarship and I wouldn't have to relocated. Also accepted to Kansas with a nice scholarship.
3/12- Updated list with scholarship info all amount are per year. Withdrew from Univ of Kentucky I was deferred twice and I need to make a decision, also withdrew from Texas Tech
3/16- Not a great Friday. Received my first and second rejections of the cycle.

4/25- My cycle is complete. I received my final notice today via email from UNM. I will be attending the Univ of Louisville class of 2015.
