Additional info & updates

almost 10 years work experience, 3 in the specific legal field where i want to work

updated with my actual cycle now that it's over. scholarship #s and dates are estimates but are basically correct. actually it's not saving a lot of the dates for some reason--but basically i applied everywhere between september and november, got acceptances between october and december, and rejections in march

didn't get any fee waivers at the lower ranked schools i assume because i applied everywhere early. seems like most fee waivers came in october. w/o fee waivers i wouldn't have applied to michigan and duke for example

hope this helps someone, i found this site a valuable resource

I see we have similar numbers and tenor of work experience. Curious how you went about getting recommendation letters. I have a letter from my employer, but I'm having trouble getting responses from former professors--granted, it was over 8 years ago that I had my most formative classes, and I haven't been in contact with my professors since. Best of luck to you.

Congrats!!

katherine - don't want to reveal too much on here, but it's a specialized area of commercial law. thanks for the compliment! sandrew - I have been lucky enough to maintain a relationship w/ a professor i really bonded with in undergrad, so that was an easy call for me. if you haven't been in touch w/ your professors that long, i don't see what you can do... best of luck to you as well

Congrats

Congrats on Fordham! Did you hear on the 15th? How did they let you know? Best of luck in the rest of your cycle!
