Did you get any merit money at Pitt?

yeah, Pitt gave me 8k/year, kind of weird considering some of the lower-ranked schools aren't offering anything

I got $8000, too. I was thinking they gypped me. The U.S. News Law School book for 2005 says that Pitt gives out merit awards to 45% of the class. The 25%-75% is $4000 to $12000. $8000 is the median. So at least the top 1/8 or so of students get $12000. Since Pitt's medians are 3.3/160, and 25%-75% are 3.03-3.63/158-162, I assumed that with a 3.21/167, I'd be in that top 1/8. But I guess not.

Hey did you get a letter from Maryland about interviewing for a Leadership Scholarship? You have good numbers so I just wanted to see who else heard from them.

nah, I got accepted into Mason right after Maryland and, since I liked Mason a lot better, I turned down Maryland pretty fast.

I don't blame you- even tho UMD is tied in the rankings with Mason now, Mason is in a MUCH better location! Good luck!
