Additional info & updates

From my experience law school will be much easier than applying for law school. I am hoping for the best but expecting the worst. I really screwed up in my younger years in undergrad. I hope my Personal Statement will show I have grown and changed in the past 20 years.

03/20...Got a call from Akron offering instate tuition and $20k per year with stip of 2.9 gpa or better. Glad to know I am going to law school.

3/22...Waitlisted at Quinnipiac. A little surprised since they are ranked lower than Akron. Email acceptance at Vermont with scholarship offer to come in mail.

3/28...Info came from Vermont. Disappointed in the scholarship offer. I would love to go there but it would push our budget way out of comfort zone. Decisions, decisions.

04/02...University of Toledo accepted by status checker.

04/04...Ohio Northern called and offered acceptance and $27500 per year with 3.0 stip.

04/08...Email from William Mitchell saying I was rejected. Kind of surprised since I have been offered near full scholarships at higher ranked colleges. No worries. I truly feel this was their loss not mine.

04/09...UNH (Franklin Pierce) rejected by status checker. Not to sad about this one either.

04/10...Waitlisted at Buffalo. Not understanding a waitlist this late in the cycle since seat deposits are due at the end of the week.

04/15...Paid seat deposit at Akron. I have no idea how the other applications will turn out but will continue to update. So for now Akron will be our new home come August.

04/18...Conditional admit at Baltimore, in at Hamline, Dayton, Roger Williams, New England and Western New England via either status checker or email. Awaiting snail mail scholarship offer to see if anyone beats Akron.

Was waiting for Syracuse to let me know something. Seems they are taking their sweet time with my app. Trying decide between Hamline and Akron.
