Sorry just now seeing that, but I hadn't received any $$ news from Berkeley and my UPenn deadline was coming up so I emailed and asked them if I was getting any (specified that I wanted it to make it as cheaper of cheaper than my Penn offer so that would've been ~$100,000) and they emailed me and offered me the full $105,000 the next day. UCLA gave me something like $95,000 at first and I emailed them asking what more they could do and they emailed back insinuating that they could give me a full ride if that would get me to UCLA, so I did a little mini interview, and they only bumped me up to $110,000. While that was generous, I thought it was rude and unprofessional to dangle a full scholarship in front of me and then offer almost $40,000 less than that. Additionally, they were terrible about scheduling the interview time and super inconsiderate about my time and confused the time difference between LA and my city, leaving me scrambling to be ready for the interview an hour early. I have not been impressed with UCLA's administration, the dean of students and staff have been rude and unimpressive. Their attitudes turned me off of the school completely.
