Glowing LOR's, working as a paralegal since October on, and a well executed if uncreative PS.

It is my intention to study and practice in Boston, but I'm open to see what happens.

Additional info & updates

I'll try to update this as diligently as I can. I have benefited enormously from other peoples'/cycles' self-reported admissions data, so I am trying to keep paying it forward.

Any insight/advice/observations are more than welcome, and I'll help anyone in any way I can.

12/1/16: Got accepted at Northeastern with a full scholarship, via email @ ~4pm.

I'm pretty skeptical of Northeastern, and have been hoping to got to BU or BC..but a full ride is a strong incentive. Neither BU/BC is likely to give me any scholarships.. If anyone has any comments on the decision, I'd welcome your input. Thanks.

12/8/16: Accepted at U Minnesota via phone call at 3pm. Scholarship info in the next few weeks via snail mail.

12/14/16: Reject from UT Austin via email at noon today. No big surprise.

12/15/16: Accepted at William and Mary via email @ 10am. Scholarship info in the mail.

12/15/16: Accepted at UC Boulder via email.

12/15/16: Waitlisted at GW via email. I'm okay with this, though I hope BU looks at me more favorably as a local boy.

12/16/16: Got my W&M packet in the mail today. $25k a year conditioned on an aove C average.

12/22/16: Accepted at U CONN via email at 2pm today.

12/22/16: Accepted at Boston College today via email. Pumped about this, now to bite my nails about BU.

12/24/16: Submitted an app to Northwestern because why not.

I'd say unless you definitely want to work in public interest you should be skeptical. BC is best for corporate placement and you'll probably get in even without as much money. BU also places well. Northeastern only placed 5% in big law last year compared with 23% at BC.

My main response to your question is to just look at law school transparency and see if what you want to do matches up with the numbers of the institution.

Is your 27k scholarship per year or total? I have almost the same stats as you and clarified with the school that my 20k was per year rather than total because the letter was not very clear.
