Additional info & updates

My LSAC GPA is 4.06. Was 4.07 but went to 4.06 after Fall 2012 grades.
Really underperformed the October 2012 LSAT. I got a 164 (brutal curve) and I took the LSAT again in December and got a 168. The Cornell and Texas deferrals came when I had a 164/4.07. The William and Mary full ride came when I had a 164/4.07 as well.

Cornell deferral came on 11/26/2012 through email. They are going to look at my application again after February 1. Reserved March 20 at 10:00AM via email after being deferred. I was originally deferred with 164 but I upped my score on the Dec. LSAT. I didn't apply early action to maybe get an answer in late May. I was admitted to Cornell via status checker and email on June 7. I withdrew because they were dragging their feet with financial aid info.

Texas deferral came on 11/29/2012 at 4:00AM. They are going to look at my application again later and I should hear back by April. They told me it wasn't a deferral and it was a "hold". I sent an email night of January 7 letting them know about my new score and I got a phone call from Dean Ingram at 11:03AM on January 8 that I was admitted. I withdrew on April 15 because of the first deposit deadline.

William & Mary admission came on 12/10/2012 through status checker. I received the $111,000 in a mail package shortly afterwards. I withdrew from William & Mary on March 29.

Mizzou acceptance came at 5:07PM January 15 from Michelle Heck in admissions. Got the acceptance within 10 days. I withdrew on April 2

University of Southern California acceptance email came at 5:26PM January 15. Very fast turnaround. I withdrew on April 12 because I had to accept or decline the scholarship offer by April 15.

Got my Notre Dame waitlist letter on Jan. 19. I did not write a Why Notre Dame Essay, which strongly suggests to me this is a yield protection measure. I was correct this was a YP move on their part. I was accepted via email on April 25 with a $75,000 scholarship. I withdrew via email on May 8.

Vanderbilt Big Black Box came from FedEx on January 21. I withdrew via email on April 30.

WashU STL acceptance came via email at 4:02PM on January 24. I withdrew on April 12 with the April 15 deadline coming up.

Checked my Michigan status checker at 11:53AM on Feb. 5 and I am accepted there. I had been religiously checking multiple times a day since I sent in my application. I did not send in my deposit to Michigan and they emailed me confirming that I did not send it in on May 6. It's depressing that I'm not going to Michigan because I have a lot of emotional ties there, but in the end Virginia's (and every other school I'm WLed at) employment stats are better and I can't make a bad decision based on emotion. Go Blue!

Emory acceptance letter came in the mail on Feb. 9 with a $105,000 scholarship. I withdrew on March 31.

UVA acceptance came in a 10:54AM phone call from Jason Dugas on February 20. Very fast turnaround! I heard scholarship info from Dean Richard via email on April 24. I had sent them my Michigan and Duke offers. I withdrew from UVA on May 31 after being accepted to NYU.

Columbia placed me on their reserve list via a 2:31 PM email on February 26. They claim they will look at my application again after late May. Columbia put me on second reserve and third reserve over the summer. Finally rejected on August 16, 2013 via email.

Northwestern held me via a 3:58PM email on March 5. They claim they will look at my application again in April. Northwestern wait listed me on May 16 via email. I plan on withdrawing.

Duke acceptance came via a 3:50PM email from Dean Hoye on March 15, 2013. I withdrew from Duke by not sending in my deposit.

Waitlisted at UCLA via a 8:00PM email from Dean Schwartz on March 21. I'm positive this is a YP move so I sent in a LOCI. UCLA emailed me May 3 offering me a waitlist interview. I instead withdrew because I didn't feel like wasting 20 mins of their time to have a YP conversation and be offered a full ride at the end of it that I would eventually withdraw. I did want revenge by turning them down, but 20 mins just wasn't worth my time.

I received the Georgetown acceptance letter in the mail on March 22. I withdrew from GULC via email on April 24. They accepted me but never mentioned anything about scholarships so I withdrew.

I was waitlisted at Penn via a 5:59PM email on March 25. I did not write a "Why Penn" essay. I received a feeler call and was admitted several days later on June 11. I withdrew by not depositing.

I was admitted to Berkeley via email at 11:20AM from Dean Tom on March 26. Did not write any specific "Why Berkeley" anything. I withdrew from Berkeley on April 24 via their website.

Harvard rejection came via a 2:23pm email from Jessica Soban on March 29. I did not get a JS1

Chicago Waitlist was via email on March 29. Really upsetting. They are my #1

NYU Waitlist was via email on April 11. Really upsetting. I was hoping for them to come through but they took so long to get back to me they just decided to WL me like everyone else in April. I don't get why people with worse stats than me are uniformly admitted but oh I applied the first week in January that is late enough to be put in the April WL. NYU acceptance came via DLS status checker May 23. I then logged into the ASW :) I deposited at NYU and withdrew from UVA from May 31.

Yale rejection came via email on April 16. Not surprising

Stanford sent me the DLS update via status checker on April 30 and I called. They rejected me. Not surprising but still stings.

Good luck on the LSAT or getting the score you want. Was wondering how you prepared for the LSAT. I was PTing around 164-166 but got a 160, am considering retaking. PS Stellar GPA

I feel your pain

I was practicing in the same range. That stupid Oct LSAT! Four questions away from 170... I feel your pain.

Thanks! I also thought i wouldn't get in after that. Still can hardly believe how it turned out. Thrilled.
