Heavy involvement

7/19- Been slacking on the updates, but I ended up submitting deposits for UC Davis. Just heard from USC last week that I was admitted off the waitlist (didn't submit LOCI or do their optional waitlist video interview) and even received a scholarship! Flying down to check out the campus again on Sunday but I'm pretty possitive that I will be attending USC in a month!

3/5- USC status updated to 2nd committee read...hoping they see something they like! Can't quite figure out what is going on with Vanderbilt...my file has been complete for over 3 months and my status hasn't been updated since. Also still hopeful for UC Davis (still "awaiting evaluation") and UC Irvine.

2/22- Absolutely speechless, but I had a funny feeling this would happen...REJECTED at Pepperdine. Not even wait list? I was really considering going...especially if I got a scholarship. I would like to state that I was open about my sexuality in my personal statement...not sure if that made a difference with a conservative Christian school (I hope not...).

2/21- Just received an email with scholarship info from Hastings! On a separate note...still waiting on a letter from Pepperdine...

2/13- Decision rendered for Pepperdine via status check...now I have to wait for the mail.

2/7- Another rejection...this one hurts a little more. I know Berkeley was a long shot, but I was holding out some hope. Oh well...looks like my only shot at a top 20 Cal school is USC or staying on the wait list for UCLA. Suggestions or advice on a decision is always appreciated!

1/25- Got my first ding. Doesn't hurt too badly...wasn't really wanting to go to DC. Still holding out for a top 20 Cal school.

1/19- Received an email from UVA earlier today saying I was wait listed (expected that or a rejection but figured I would try w/ the fee waiver). Later today I got an acceptance call from UC Hastings (they said they would send my acceptance packet w/i the week).

1/17- Figure I should update this a bit! I was pumped to get my tuition covered at Iowa (not so excited about the locale and weather). They sent me an email first and then several letters followed. Cardozo notified via snail mail w/ a nice packet and scholarship (could see decision was rendered on site). W&L was very prompt at getting back to me (decision via email, scholarship info to come). Just got my packet from Loyola today via snail mail! So far my cycle hasn't been horrible...still may hold out for UCLA.

12/14- Heard from Wake late last week. Not my first choice but the scholarship would be nice. UCLA emailed me today to let me know I am on the waitlist; not looking forward to waiting but I figure I'll sit it out and continue applying.

11/18- Applying to all reasonable schools that emailed me fee waivers. UCLA was my top choice and decided to do early decision due to my low LSAT score. Feeling like I don't have any kind of a chance at Stanford but maybe my extracurricular and life experience could help.
