Hello and Congrats! I have a few questions about Marquette... I am assuming you were waitlisted before 3/22 (thats when you got accepted off the waitlist), right? Did you doing anything specific that helped you get accepted (i.e. sent a letter of interest or retake the LSAT) or did they just accept you? Finally, how were you notified of your acceptance? I'd really appreciate some feedback! Thank You.

I stayed in contact pretty frequently and let them know I was still interested and made sure to explain why. I sent a statement of continued interest and an updated work profile that included being hired at a law firm near my house. Their admissions staff is top notch about getting back to you and explaining where they stand. Probably a month after the initial waitlist (maybe less) I got an acceptance in the mail and made sure to do a campus visit. If you're definitely interested stay in touch, make sure they know who you are and why you want to attend. After visiting campus I can tell you that the law school building is crazy impressive and as far as a group EVERYONE is on the same page, from the dean of the school down to the 1L's. It's a neat place and I wouldnt let laziness or any apprehension about bugging them get in the way of you sending a few brief emails letting them know that you really want to go there and dont view them as a safety school.

when did you find out you were waitlisted there and how did they inform you?

For FSU? It was kind of strange, I just never heard anything ever. I finally called about it and was told that I had been placed in a hold (not a choice on LSN) and withdrew my application then. But to answer your question, they never contacted me in any way except to acknowledge that I had applied.
