I don't know, but in the applications to some of the schools it asks what other schools you are planning on applying to and I was truthful. I've heard recently that it makes some difference. They also could just really dislike my personal and diversity statements. Although, I like them. I also am not taking a gap year, which a lot of people do. ASU waitlisted me a couple of days after I sent in the application. It must have been less than a week. UF put me on reserve and then waitlisted me later. W&L also put me on reserve and then waitlisted me.

I also have a cousin who went to UF as an undergrad and they asked me to report that. I don't know if that works in my favor or against.
I wonder how you were waitlisted at columbia, chicago and cornell but not accepted at W&L or Florida or ASU
