Additional info & updates

05/01 -- Visited Chicago and changed my mind. I decided to deposit at Harvard and will be starting there in the fall. Just couldn't pass it up!

04/16 -- Waitlisted at Yale. Mostly expected at this point, and I'm pretty happy about it. I will be riding the waitlist for at least a couple months, but I'm not too hopeful.

04/15 -- I decided to take the Rubenstein and submitted my seat deposit to Chicago. Excited about the prospect of having no debt and attending such a great school. It's a bit disappointing to pass up Harvard though.

04/13 -- I received a Rubenstein offer this evening (up from $90,000 originally). Unfortunately, Chicago will not extend the scholarship deadline so I have to decide by 4/15. I haven't visited the school, so this complicates my decision -- but it's very tempting.

04/12 -- I turned down the Levy Scholarship. While Penn is a great school, I just didn't feel like it was the right place for me after visiting. In terms of resources and the students, I feel like Harvard was a better fit. It was still a very difficult decision.

03/08-- Received a $50,000 scholarship from NYU. $20,000 for each of the first two years and $10,000 for the third year. I'm a bit disappointed and will be withdrawing, as much as I'd love to stay in NYC.

2/29-- Received $90,000 merit scholarship from Chicago. I did not submit my fin aid forms by the deadline, so it's definitely just merit. Didn't expect much (if any) money from Chicago, so this was a surprise.

2/28-- Received a Levy scholarship, which covers full tuition and fees for all three years, plus a faculty mentor. This complicates my choice, so I will now be visiting Penn in addition to Harvard and NYU.

1/27-- Levy Invitation from Penn! Have to apply by Feb. 10th.

1/20 - Michigan ASW updated to $22,500 year Dean's Scholarship. 10 days after admission.

1/18 - Missed the call, but accepted at Penn!

1/13 - Acceptance Call at Chicago!

1/12 - Second UCR at Penn

1/09 - Received a weird email from UMich, seems like a "Hold" email. edit: But was accepted the next day so it seems like it was just an automated email to reassure applicants who hadn't heard for awhile.
Also Third UR at Chicago

1/03 - First Under Committee Review at Penn.

12/22 - Second UR update at Chicago.

12/15 - Finally UR at Chicago, over a month with no movement.

12/14 - Acceptance call from NYU. Status changed to "Decision Letter Sent" yesterday. Very excited :)

12/8 - KB2, so excited and grateful to know this early in the cycle. No longer planning to apply to NU, since I was too lazy to send the app yet anyway.

12/7 - Received Michigan Status Checker

12/2 - KB1 call

11/23 - KB1 email, scheduled for next week. A very pleasant surprise while traveling home for Thanksgiving!

11/21- Lots of LS movement today:
Off-campus Interview for NU-- went well.
Went Under Review at NYU.
Current Status Date at Gtown updated for the fourth time.
Also received Duke acceptance package.

11/17- Complete at Harvard today. (I had gone under review on 11/7).

11/16 - Third time the current status date for "Application Completed" at Georgetown updated.

11/13 - Accepted to Duke via PT. Came around 6 pm on the 10th day after I went complete. It's a relief to be in somewhere. I did not write a Why Duke or any optional essay.

10/28 - Submitted my first app to Chicago Law!
