05/01 -- Visited Chicago and changed my mind. I decided to deposit at Harvard and will be starting there in the fall. Just couldn't pass it up!
04/16 -- Waitlisted at Yale. Mostly expected at this point, and I'm pretty happy about it. I will be riding the waitlist for at least a couple months, but I'm not too hopeful.
04/15 -- I decided to take the Rubenstein and submitted my seat deposit to Chicago. Excited about the prospect of having no debt and attending such a great school. It's a bit disappointing to pass up Harvard though.
04/13 -- I received a Rubenstein offer this evening (up from $90,000 originally). Unfortunately, Chicago will not extend the scholarship deadline so I have to decide by 4/15. I haven't visited the school, so this complicates my decision -- but it's very tempting.
04/12 -- I turned down the Levy Scholarship. While Penn is a great school, I just didn't feel like it was the right place for me after visiting. In terms of resources and the students, I feel like Harvard was a better fit. It was still a very difficult decision.
03/08-- Received a $50,000 scholarship from NYU. $20,000 for each of the first two years and $10,000 for the third year. I'm a bit disappointed and will be withdrawing, as much as I'd love to stay in NYC.
2/29-- Received $90,000 merit scholarship from Chicago. I did not submit my fin aid forms by the deadline, so it's definitely just merit. Didn't expect much (if any) money from Chicago, so this was a surprise.
2/28-- Received a Levy scholarship, which covers full tuition and fees for all three years, plus a faculty mentor. This complicates my choice, so I will now be visiting Penn in addition to Harvard and NYU.
1/27-- Levy Invitation from Penn! Have to apply by Feb. 10th.
