Additional info & updates

160 on my first LSAT take, studied a few more months and got a 169 on my second take.

Kent award is full-tuition plus fees.

Michigan aid was all need-based - received $0 in merit aid.

Only schools I attempted to negotiate with were Michigan, Loyola, and Georgetown.

Georgetown raised the award based on UT and WUSTL offers ($45,000-> $52,500).

Michigan didn't raise award amount since it was larger than merit amounts from peer schools.

Loyola package is a combination of scholarships and fellowships. They raised my award amount after I spoke to faculty there and used the Michigan and Kent offers ($102,000 -> $123,000).

I was admitted to Loyola Chi and was considering but unfortunately I was not anywhere near you $$$$ wise! I need to get my LSAT score on your level! Did you self study?

Gracias!

I did a Manhattan Prep course for the first exam and self studied for the second. I used the LSAT Trainer for LR and RC and the PowerScore LG Bible for LG. I did a lot of five-section practice tests, and a few of those at my testing site the time of the exam. The on-site tests helped a ton.

Hi, I have the same lsat as you but unfortunately a 2.7-2.8 UG GPA. I did however go to graduate school and had a 3.8 GPA. Did you interview at Northwestern? It's my dream school for a variety of reasons and I want to find some way in despite my somewhat lousy numbers. I am definitely going to write an awesome personal essay and addendums explaining my UG GPA, and my jump in lsat scores due to intense studying. ALl advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Can you DM me? Happy to talk more about app stuff. But, yes, I did interview in person (I live in Chicago) and did a video/Kira interview for the waitlist.
