Worked a bunch of low-wage, entry-level jobs.

Pell recipient.

"Overcame significant personal and financial obstacles."
30+ years old.

Filed at least a few successful motions in various courts on my own behalf.

One of the rare people who'd be happy to take a 60k job as a public defender under the right circumstances.

Identify as NA due to maternal comments. Have identified as NA, despite not being enrolled, for decades. Despite reaching out to tribe, I've never sought enrollment as the particular tribe is impoverished and- despite my own circumstances, there are people who need the scant resources much more than me.

Received LSAT/CAS fee waivers.

1st LSAT, had gout. 2nd LSAT, 1/2 my state was on fire. Couldn't afford the 1st 2 LSATs, so there likely won't be a 3rd one. GRE doesn't offer a fee waiver, so I'm hoping for a GRE-free master's should I not get accepted into a JD program. I'll get 2 master's, if possible.

Low GPA is due to a multitude of factors. I worked full-time, was homeless, didn't know how to study properly, rushed into a major I wasn't prepared for and that didn't match my skill set, etc. Even so, LSAC GPA is significantly lower than cumulative GPA.

Major GPA of 3.77-3.8ish. Trending GPA significantly higher. After transferring, institutional GPA of 3.6+. Taking mostly lower-level classes to finish out undergrad, so overall GPA should be somewhat higher.

Dual-degree hopeful.

I am a convicted felon myself, be honest and write a legit explanatory addendum. I got in two schools already, and your #s should get you in somewhere, maybe apply to schools with 153 median like Albany,Pace,NYLS,Touro or near where you want to go. Love hearing comeback stories, america is what you make of it, the word felon is just a label. you are who you are after that. Best of luck, DM me if u want to talk ever
