Extra Curricular Information

I am not 30 yet but I am a non-traditional undergraduate student with solid professional experience and a number of other factors that set me apart from a traditional applicant. My LSAC GPA is abysmal--sub 3.0--but my degree granting GPA is >3.4.

I will post my exact numbers and more details when all the decisions have been rendered, assuming I still have interest in updating this page.

Additional info & updates

I only ranked my preference in programs that I think I have a reasonable chance at being granted admission. I'd love to end up at NYU but I'm not going to hold my breath. May the drop in applicants bring unexpected acceptances to you all!

Oct. 2- I'm finishing up the second version of my personal statement and my scholarship essays for the school's I've yet to apply to... hopefully I'll send off the last of my apps by the end of next week.

Dec. 21- Held @ UT

Jan. 8-Finally received my semester grades. 3.8, not too shabby.

Jan. 10-Bloodbath.

Jan. 15- Michigan rejection letter dated 1/11.

Feb. 20-I came to the decision that Fordham is the lowest ranked school that I'd be comfortable attending so I withdrew my applications from both Brooklyn and Cardozo. With the slew of rejections from schools I had no shot at, this currently leaves Fordham as my only possible option.

Mar. 26 - It's looking like law school may not be in the cards for me. Thankfully, I started an amazing new job last month so if I don't end up getting off of either waitlist, I won't be completely boned.

Apr. 4 - Wait listed @ UT

Jun. 8 - I'm back with no news to report. I'm still hopeful that I will get off the Fordham wait list. I'm still on the wait list at UT but I'm not hopeful.

Since I've been gone, I received three wait list updates on Apr. 18, May 22, and Jun. 7 from Fordham and one update from UT on Jun. 1. The UT update heavily implies that I shouldn't hold my breath waiting to get admitted.

Interesting choice of moniker. Could be perceived as a flame profile but I certainly hope not. If so, best wishes this upcoming cycle!

How'd you get so many fee waivers, did you ask for them? Let me know. I applied to Fordham too, Good Luck.

Good luck

Hey, Sorry to see the rejections. Did you write an addendum for your GPA? If not, send one in to pending schools. Good luck.
