This site helped me get through the craziness that is the law school admissions process. I hope that my profile can help someone else out there. I feel like I'm a perfect example that numbers aren't really everything. A good personal statement and work experience really do help make a difference and make up for low numbers!

I retook my LSAT and only improved a few points. My GPA is as low as it is due to major health reason in college. Let's see how this process goes!!!

3/4/2014 - Waitlisted at Barry, I think this is a good start. I have a good attitude about it! I'll take starting off with a waitlist over a rejection :)

3/14/2014 - Waitlisted at Florida Coastal. Again, someone with my numbers should've been outright rejected. I'm happy with the potential opportunities these waitlists present. It's really proving to me that admissions committees are truly taking their time to read and review everything with my application, not just looking at the numbers!

3/26/2014 - Got my first rejection from California Western, I didn't think I'd get it so I'm not entirely surprised. It doesn't sting as much as I thought it would. I guess I just have some good feelings about the waitlists as well as my remaining applications. The waiting is the worst!!!

3/28/2014 - Out at Brooklyn. That was a long shot, but you don't know unless you apply!

3/31/2014 - Denied at Syracuse. I'm an alum so it would've been nice but also not the end of the world.

4/7/2014 - ACCEPTED INTO AVE MARIA!!!!!! Received the email this afternoon and will get a full package in 5-10 days!!!!! First acceptances feel AMAZING!!!!!!! I got a $2500 per year with a 2.0 gpa stip.

4/9/2014 - God is so great. I was just accepted into one of my top choices Whittier Law School! Scholarship info and admissions packet will be mailed to me!!!! I also checked on the status of my Charlotte and Cooley applications. Charlotte offered me AAMPLE and Cooley offered me PEP. I declined both offers and withdrew those applications today.

4/10/2014 - I received a phone call congratulating me on my acceptance into Ave Maria. The admissions office sounded really genuinely nice and very eager to help. I really like that.

4/11/2014 - I emailed UDC to see what the deal was. My status checker was stuck at "Application received" since January 24. I didn't get a response but within a few hours, my checker changed to "Application complete". Not sure why they're taking so freaking long.

4/14/2014 - I received both packets from Ave Maria and Whittier in the mail today. Each had a lot of information, which surprised me. There was a free t-shirt card from Whittier. I didn't get any scholarship money from Whittier but think I might email them and see what I can get. It's my number one choice but I still have a decision to make before they want the deposit on 4/23. Even though it's only $2,500 from Ave Maria, it's better than nothing at all. There was a personalized handwritten note at the top of my acceptance letter from Whittier. I'm sure it's on everyone's letter, but my comment was noting my personal statement. I wrote that about a very personal time in my life, and it meant a lot that that aspect was acknowledged.

4/16/2014 - I was able to negotiate some scholarship money from Whittier!

4/21/2014 - Everything has been quiet on my last 4 applications. I need to send a deposit to Whittier by April 23 (2 days) and I still haven't heard back from some places. I don't know if I was right or wrong in doing this, but I emailed my final 4 schools and asked for an update on my application. I'd feel a lot better making an informed choice with all of my options on the table. I wouldn't mind even being rejected from my final 4 schools, it would still be a decision and I can make my choice accordingly.

I received a letter today from Thomas Jefferson letting me know I was waitlisted. I immediately withdraw from the Wait List. It was just a safety school and someone else can benefit from my spot.

4/25/2014 - Got waitlisted at New York Law School. I was told that it could be a very long wait and even though I wanted to go there, I withdrew my application. I need to make plans to move to California now and can't wait around on the waitlist without knowing what to do. Maybe if Whitter and NYLS were closer I can send the deposit and hang out on the waitlist, but it must not be for me! Unless I get a very compelling offer from UDC or Hofstra, I'm about 99% set on Whittier.

4/28/2014 - I was supposed to hear from Barry regarding my wait list status on or before April 25. Since today is the 28th and I haven't received any email or status checker update, I sent them an email to follow up on whether or not a decision has been made. If not, I'm going to withdraw. There's no sense on waiting when I probably won't attend. I just want to be sure it's not an acceptance with any scholarship money before withdrawing. I also emailed Florida Coastal on my wait list status. Again, if there is no update, I will withdraw from their wait list.

A few minutes after emailing Florida Coastal, I received a phone call from them offering me part-time admission for Fall 2014 with the option to switch to full time after a semester. I wasn't really interested but it was a nice gesture. I withdrew my application.

4/29/2014 - Wow, this cycle is turning out better than I ever could've imagined for honestly. I was accepted to Barry off the wait list via email but no scholarship money. I withdrew my acceptance.

4/30/2014 - I sent my seat deposit to Whittier today. I've put a lot of thought in my decision and now it's official. I withdrew my acceptance from Ave Maria via email. I still have two applications pending. I'm going to just let them ride and see what happens. Neither would really change my mind unless I get some insane scholarship.

5/1/2014 - LOL at UDC. I submitted in January and have tried to contact them multiple times. No response about anything and they didn't update my checker until yesterday to say complete. I wouldn't have gone there even if I got in. Disorganization at it's finest!! What people say about them is 10000% true!

5/26/2014 - I just checked my Hofstra checker. I was waitlisted. I partially forgot I had this application out and I am completely mind blown that I was waitlisted there with my numbers. I thought it would be a clear ding!
