victuals (2022-2023)

I did my undergrad at a Top 5 Public University. Too bad my LSAT score isnt good enough for the old alma mater. Oh well. I did fairly well academically...but my LSAT was a bit mediocre, at least for my tastes.

Pretty limited ECs in college. Co-founded a student association for students who share my national background.

Jobs after graduation include working for my city's business improvement district. and after, i worked for a publisher at a top 5 private university.

I started fairly late in the admissions cycle.

4/12/07 - All quiet on the western front. This annoys me. I havent heard a peep from any of my remaining schools. I plan to attend Loyola-Chicago's admitted student's day on the 20th.

2/27/07 - In at Loyola-Chicago!!! First school to hear back from and it's an acceptance! I'm so pumped as it is one of my top choices. Got a phone call from someone in admissions congratulating me. It was surprising that I heard back so soon because I only went complete a week earlier. So first response and I'm in somewhere! Knowing that I'm going to a law school is a huge relief.

03/03/07 - Got my admissions packet for Loyola-Chicago. Looks like a nice school in an excellent location. I've never been to Chicago but I can't wait to visit.

03/13/07 - Rejection for GWU part-time. This was a wild card. I wasn't really sure of my chances. But, my fate at several other part-time schools looks to be sealed given my rejection from GWU. Oh well.

03/19/07 - In at Miami! Came in a very foreboding regular-sized envelope. But, I knew something was up as the envelope was a bit thicker than what a rejection letter would be. Definitely one of my top choices, but I'm still waiting to hear from the rest of my schools.

3/24/07 - Waitlisted from my top choice, American. Kind of a bummer. I don't think I'm going to really pursue them too much now. Still have to hear back from 10 schools. Sort of freaking out.

3/31/07 -- Double rejection day. Ouch. Found out I was rejected from Georgetown Part-Time...which is no surprise really considering I was rejected from GWU PT. These schools were definitely wild cards, and reaches to boot. I was also rejected from UC Davis, a school that I had a slim chance of getting into. It was in between a slight to major reach I guess. I don't think I wouldve gone there anyways. I'm not too keen on the rural, middle-of-nowhere lifestyle.

4/4/07 - Some good news at last!!! After a string of two rejections and a waitlist, if feels nice to get some love again. University of San Diego. Maybe my 4th or 5th choice school. I'd say it's probably my top choice in California though.

4/5/07 - Waitlisted at Fordham PT via status checker. I'm actually surprised because I was expecting it to be a rejection. The issue now is that it makes my decision all the harder because I do intend to pursue the Fordham PT and American waitlists. Still have to hear back from a few more schools.
