Additional info & updates

I'm posting these details because I know they are really important to some people and this site has helped me get a better idea of my chances.

My applications were all submitted late November. All of my numbers have been updated now that my cycle is over.

My advice to all applicants: REGISTER FOR CRS!!
All my fee waivers started rolling in after I registered for CRS. I only got one school (UM) to give me a fee waiver via email. (Edit: Columbia emailed me a fee waiver 1/7/13. Still didn't apply.)

Made the decision to go to Harvard, my dream school, despite the debt load. It was really difficult to turn down the full-tuition scholarships in my home state schools, but I know that Harvard is the right choice for my circumstances.

UF
12/4 - Status checker says a decision was mailed
12/10 - received admit letter
1/3 - Notified award letter had been mailed. Called and asked them to email, which they did. Awarded $72,000 merit scholarship, which is about full-tuition.

UMiami
12/10- Admitted via email
12/20 - Notified award letter sent. Called and asked them to email it to me, which they did. I received $117,000, full-tuition Dean's Merit Scholarship.

Harvard
12/10 - Invited to interview via email.
12/18 - Interview.
12/21 - Accepted via phone call. Totally unreal.

Georgetown
12/28 - Received a holiday postcard saying "we look forward to welcoming you to our community". Kind of confused since I hadn't gotten any word from them yet. Status checker showed no change in status or mailings.
12/29- Admitted via snail mail. The envelope was VERY small and thin, I thought it would be a rejection or a waitlist but it was an "invitation" style letter and had a handwritten note from the Dean. Wow!

UC Berkeley
1/14 Accepted via email, followed quickly by an email asking me to apply for financial aid. Acceptance email said they would defray the cost of my flight to attend admitted students weekend. (A later email explained that if I was flying within California the stipend would be $150, and from outside California, the stipend would be $300.)

Duke
1/15 - Accepted via email, but the email says I won't be officially admitted or get my acceptance letter until I apply for financial aid/scholarships.

U Chicago
2/22 - Asked to interview. At this point, I know I wouldn't go to Chicago and I don't want to take spots from those who really want to go. I didn't respond to the request to interview.
3/29 - Waitlisted. No surprise here. Kinda figured they'd reject me after I turned down the interview.

UVA
3/4 - Waitlisted. Didn't ever send out LOCI or anything so I figured this would be the case after not hearing from them in Dec/Jan/Feb.
