I have accepted an offer of admission from FLORIDA STATE with a FULL scholarship. Even though I had offers from "better" ranked schools, I felt like this was the place God wanted me to be.

Acceptance Info for other schools:

The dates of my "Sent" and "Decision" accurately reflect the dates of completing my applications and receiving my decisions.

Yes, it took one day to get my decision. Call from Dean with acceptance and $40,000/year Dean's Merit Scholarship. Stip: 2.5 GPA

Status checker says you can call and ask for your decision. I did, and was told of $51,000/year scholarship during that phone call. Stip: 2.5 GPA.

$27,500 scholarship/year listed on status checker the day after acceptance.
Attempted negotiation on 3/12 and was turned down.

Received my acceptance via email.
One week later, a packet came in the email. I was not offered a scholarship initially.
Dean told me I was being reconsidered for scholarship money, but after submitting required documentation, was told they currently "had no extra funds."

Accepted via status checker.
Packet came in the mail about a week later, with no scholarship info.
Received an email approx 2 weeks later with scholarship info that was very underwhelming.
Dean did state that more money was likely to become available as the cycle continued.

Accepted via status checker, and received a call the next day.
$24,000 Dean's Scholarship listed on status checker.
Packet came in the mail about a week later.

Accepted via email.
There was no packet, but a few letters that came in the mail.
Received an email about a week later with scholarship info.
Attempted scholarship negotiation on 3/15 but, again, was told no.

Accepted via email - status checker said decision made, I believe.
Scholarship info came in the packet about a week later.

Accepted via status checker.
Received scholarship email later that day. Scholarship included an in-state waiver and an additional amount per year. They ask info be kept confidential.

Status checker says "Decision Rendered." If you see seat deposits within a day or two, then you're in. If not, I assume they mail you a waitlist or rejection letter.
Received packet in the mail a few days later.

Accepted via email.
Was not awarded a scholarship.
Asked to be reconsidered for scholarship funds on 3/15 and, of course, was told no.

Congratulations on all of your acceptances/scholarships!! Just wondering for personal reference, did your acceptance come before your scholarship offer to south carolina? I am in your similar score range and got accepted but no mention of scholarship yet. Thanks!

Hi! Thanks so much, I really appreciate it. So I got accepted on 1/29 and got my scholarship offer via email yesterday. When I called last week to ask them the same question, they said they were still working on them, but I would give the admissions office a call to check just in case. Fair warning, in the email they sent they essentially told me that they gave out too much money in the beginning of the cycle and were strapped for funds now. So more money may become available later as more people withdraw and you can negotiate then. Hope you get your offer soon! @eeast3
