Additional info & updates

Well, here we go!

12/11/13: I'm under review at Wyoming, Minnesota, and Iowa.

12/12/13: Under review at Idaho.

12/13/13: Yahoo!!!! The first acceptance is sometimes the best because at least it means you are going somewhere! I got a phone call offering admission but missed it and had a voicemail! Ugh! However, there is a scholarship offer that will be noted in the letter sent in the mail! Today is a great day!!

12/17/13: Accepted at MSU by phone call and email!!

12/20/13: Accepted at Kansas and Idaho with scholarship offers via phone call!

12/24/13: Accepted at Arizona via package in the mail!

1/21/14: Waitlisted at Illinois. No surprise there and I didn't have my heart set on them anyway. It was free to apply. I will probably withdraw anyways.

1/22/14: Put on the preliminary waiting list for Iowa! At least it isn't a flat out denial. I will probably send in a letter of continued interest and see what happens!

1/23/14: Waitlisted at Minnesota...I expected this but who knows! I might get in!

2/12/14: I received a letter today from UW upping my scholarship from $6,000 a year to $10,000!!!!!! Holy cow!! This really changes things now. Decisions, decisions...

Congratulations to you too on the Wyoming scholly! With in-state tuition, that'll be hard for you to turn down I bet.

Retake
Saturday, March 09 2013 at 12:30 PM

I know you probably hear this a lot, but if your GPA is really a 3.9 you HAVE to retake the LSAT. A 3.9 GPA is a golden ticket. If you raised your LSAT even to a 160 (very easy and doable) you'd be on full ride to a ton of great schools.

I did seriously consider retaking the LSAT but frankly, I didn't have the time to put in to really make it worth my while. The 3.9 is real and I think it is what pushed me over to acceptance ranger rather than waitlist in a couple cases. However, I'm happy with my choice of going to UW! Good luck during your cycle!
