Hey there. Thanks and same to you! Well, I'm still crossing my fingers for Irvine or Chapman, but at this point in my cycle it's kind of a toss-up between Whittier and La Verne. I've visited both schools and I actually enjoyed Whittier so much more, mostly because I'm already familiar with the area (Orange County), and the staff was so friendly and accomodating during my tour there. The campus itself was just a little more open and pleasing aesthetically than was LV's. Maybe you should consider applying there! :) Although La Verne was nicer than I had expected, I just didn't feel the right vibe with the school and the area. The immediate neighborhood is cute, but it just feels so enclosed to me. But $25,000+ is still pretty tough to ignore, am I right? Well good luck with your cycle and if there's anything else you wanna know, just email me!

Hey! Yeah hopefully the decisions come in real soon - preferably in large envelopes! But yeah, La Verne is literally just a two-story building, with the library downstairs and a few classrooms upstairs. I didn't notice much else there either, such as a student lounge or cafeteria. It's just small in all aspects - even the graduating classes were ~30 people from what I remember. It's funny, when I got there I asked the security guard in front if I could take a self-guided tour and she gave me this wide-eyed look like "uhhh... yeahh suurree" and I later realized that I was able to cover the whole "campus" in about 10 minutes haha. But yeah, the Inland Empire is something else -- I mean it's not terrible, but if LV's still in the running at the end of your cycle then I would definitely try to visit if I could. Anyways, best of luck!

Well, I am slightly leaning towards Whittier at this point, but it's sure tough to dismiss LV's huge schollie offer. So hold that thought for now! ;) I may be contacting Whittier's admissions soon though, in hopes of hiking up their initial offer - I'm thinking LV's 25k may get me some leverage there. And Yes--I am STILL waiting on Chapman. I seriously don't know what the hold up is. I sent them an email a few days ago re: my status but I just got the "I have hundreds of files in review" treatment. She did say I should receive a decision by 5/14 at the latest, so hopefully it'll be worth it. Super annoying, but I'd pretty much be a lock to attend if they accept me. Well congrats on your decision! Although it seems like you still have several schools to hear back from. Are you just over the whole waiting game already? Or the 25k's just too much to pass up? Either way, best of luck to you also - and maybe we'll cross paths somewhere down the road!
