Additional info & updates

It's a wonder I can get accepted ANYWHERE, really. :P

Withdrew from Cal Western on 3/9/05. Sad...got a really nice letter from them asking where I was going, wishing me luck, and whether or not I would be staying in CA like I mentioned in my PS. Still holding out hope for my last four. ANY info would be appreciated, even if it's a reject letter.

Accepted to Oregon 3/21/05. Small letter. Very excited, but I was expecting a rejection! This turns the plans upside down.

Rejected from Hastings 4/20/05. Not surprised...Oregon is looking better and better!

Rejected from Davis 4/23/05 while I was looking for housing in Oregon!

Withdrew from USD 4/25/05.

OREGON HERE I COME!

Well, I skipped SCU because I heard that if you don't do IP law there it's REALLY hard to find a job. This from my 2 roommates who are currently UCD law students. Skipped Loyola and USF because I didn't want to deal with the large city atmosphere UNLESS I was paying low tuition (hence UCH). USD was just cause I love San Diego....

good luck!

Re: your comment on my page (for some reason I couldnt post on my own page), I recommend you make the decision based on where you want to practice after school. I still have some apps pending & havent made a decision yet. Congrats on your acceptances!

UPacific vs. UOregon
Friday, September 09 2005 at 08:00 PM

I am a little older (36) so I have a different decision perspective. 1. I want to stay in the geographical area after graduation so cost of living & house costs are relevant 2. Oregon has a top environmental program 3. Tuition is way cheaper in Oregon 4. Regionally (Northwest) Oregon is at a higher pecking order than UPacific in California 5. Oregon is higher in these "rankings" although UPacific just got to Tier 2 in the latest US News and World Report That being said, I am still up in the air on the decision as I am waiting for the rest of the UC to come in and UArizona is making things interesting for me... Good luck with "The Choice"...

Congratulations!
